2nd Saturday of each month 10:00AM Paws to Read @ Tahlequah Public Library Children and their families can enjoy two activities at the Tahlequah Public Library. From 10:00 to 11:00 children may read to the library therapy dog, Kimber, in the meeting room. Children read one-on-one in a private setting. By reading this way children gain confidence in their reading. Kimber loves to listen and never criticizes. Children may bring books or magazines from home or choose something to read from the many choices at the library. At 11:00 a family storytime will be held in the children’s area. Children and their adults will enjoy books, songs and a craft. The Paws to Read program and family storytime are offered on the second Saturday of each month. Enjoy your library!
Hugs & Kisses Park Hill Baptist Church volunteers are making "hugs" (neck coolers) & "kisses" (helmet coolers) for our American Soldiers serving in the Middle East. Donations of 100% cotton sand-colored fabrics, sewing thread, sewing machines, and money are needed to support this worthwhile project. They are also seeking volunteers (no special skills required). Baby Blanket Donations Hastings Hospital is seeking baby blanket donations for mothers who give birth at Hastings. Crocheted and hand-sewn as well as store bought blankets are welcome. Drop off your blankets at Hastings (ask for Jimmey Holland). For more info, call Jimmey at 458-3100.
